3D Product Explainer Animation: the Eternal Energy Case Study
A new product on the market, no marketing material and pressure for a pellet boiler to look as modern as it really is. Here is how 3D renders and animations helped Eternal Energy build a complete product presentation from scratch.
About the Client and the Project
Eternal Energy was launching a new pellet boiler and building its marketing material practically from zero. We were brought in by the manufacturer’s marketing agency, which handles advertising, the website and social media for the whole brand.
The brief was clear but demanding. A modern, technically advanced product had to look modern, clean and convincing in the renders. The material had not only to show the boiler but genuinely encourage people to buy, especially those considering switching from coal to biomass heating, for whom changing the boiler room can be a big, emotional decision.

Scope of Work
For Eternal Energy we prepared a full package of visual material to present the new product.
- Studio renders of the boiler: views from different sides and close-ups showing the build details and quality of materials.
- A lifestyle render in a modern boiler room: a scene set in a realistic, attractive interior that tells the story of everyday use.
- An interactive 360° spin of the boiler on a white background, embedded directly on the website so the unit can be seen from every side.
- An animation of the boiler in a boiler room, showing the product in its natural context.
- A 3D animation showing how the product works: the most complex part of the project, covered in the next section.

A 3D Explainer Animation: the Boiler From the Inside
This is the part of the project we are proudest of, and also the most technically demanding.
Instead of only showing the outer casing of the boiler, we built a 3D animation showing it working from the inside: parts that in reality are completely hidden from the user, and the product’s key functions in action. Viewers see exactly what they would never see looking at a finished, closed boiler standing in a boiler room.
This kind of animation needs more than a nice render. It needs an engineer-level understanding of how the product works, so it can be shown in a way that is both technically correct and clear to an ordinary viewer who may know nothing about how boilers are built. It is exactly the kind of material that turns a technical specification into a sales argument.
How AI Supports Traditional 3D Rendering Without Losing Control of the Result
We rendered everything in our classic pipeline, 3ds Max and Corona Renderer, exactly as on any other project. For the animation of the boiler at work, however, we also used AI at selected stages of the process, which gave a higher visual quality than raytracing alone.
It is worth stressing what this is not. It is not generated video whose look and content are out of the creator’s control. It is an advanced workflow in which we create exactly what is needed: every frame, every camera move, every element of the scene, while AI supports specific stages of the process, lifting the final image above what the render engine alone would deliver.
The difference is fundamental. The client gets precisely planned material, fully in line with the brief and the real construction of the product, rather than a random generative result that could be neither predicted nor repeated.

The Lifestyle Render: Why a Boiler Room Sells on Emotion
Alongside the technical material, the lifestyle render was just as important: the boiler set in a modern, attractive boiler room that tells a story of everyday life.
For someone thinking of replacing an old coal furnace with a modern pellet boiler, the decision is rarely purely technical. It is also about how the space where the unit will stand will look and feel. A render showing a clean, bright, well-designed boiler room speaks exactly to that need: it builds a picture of a change for the better, not just a list of technical specs.
The Result: a Pleasant Surprise
Both Eternal Energy and the marketing agency behind the project were surprised by the quality of the final material. For a new product building its market presence from scratch, the visuals became the foundation of all its marketing communication, used on the website, on social media and in advertising.
3D Product Animation: When It Makes Sense
A 3D animation showing how a product works is especially effective where its most important value isn’t visible at first glance: technical devices, industrial equipment, heating systems or any product whose advantage lies in what happens inside.
We create product renders and 3D animations for manufacturers who want to show their product in a way that goes beyond standard photography or a simple render: from feature presentations through lifestyle renders to interactive 360° spins.
