Bathroom Furniture Rendering: Packshots and AI Room Sets for Comad
Comad from Szczecin makes bathroom furniture and, more recently, living room and bedroom furniture too. Since January 2024 we have been preparing material for their new collections: packshots of single cabinets and complete sets, dimension drawings and AI room sets. We are currently working on our forty-second order.
New Collections, Almost Non-Stop
Comad furniture is sold at Leroy Merlin and many other shops, both bricks-and-mortar and online. The company launches new collections almost non-stop. Sometimes we finish one order and the next is already waiting in Comad’s spreadsheet. Each collection means a dozen or several dozen pieces, several colour versions and sets, and every shop needs images for its product pages.
Comad used to organise photo shoots for new collections. At that pace it is a lot of work: preparing the furniture, styling the set and photographing every version separately. So the company switched to renders. We started in January 2024 with a test render of a cabinet from the Ocean collection in two colours. That was followed by the first bathroom room set and the first full order.
A Render You Can’t Tell From a Photo
Comad sets renders one condition: they must be indistinguishable from photos, and the finish colour and every detail must match the furniture leaving the factory. They check this meticulously, sometimes down to a shade most people would never notice on their monitor. It can be a challenge for us, but we really like that approach. A customer buying a cabinet online gets exactly what they saw in the picture, and that builds trust in the brand.

Our Own Models Instead of CAD Files
Comad sends us CAD models of its furniture. They are very useful because the dimensions are exact, but they look technical. So we use them to build our own models: with real edge banding thickness, rounded edges, handles, hinges and drawer interiors. Only a model like that looks like furniture in a photo rather than a drawing.
Over the years we have learned how to show every material bathroom furniture is made from. Melamine MDF, PVC veneer, foil and lacquer reflect light completely differently, and that difference has to show in a packshot. We show every piece in a fixed set of angles: front, three-quarter, with doors or drawers open, and from the back, and complete sets together with mirrors and basins. We deliver files in two resolutions, for print and for shops.

The Same Light and Colour Across the Whole Collection
The hardest part of furniture packshots is keeping a whole collection consistent. A small wall cabinet and a tall unit must be lit the same way so they look like one series in the shop. A lightbox gives even light, but flat light: the piece loses depth and looks cut out. We make sure every surface is evenly lit while the piece keeps its volume and the shadows that show its shape.
The second challenge is the shade of the finishes. Everyone sees colour a little differently, on a different monitor and under different office lighting. So we don’t judge it by eye. We have our own tools that compare the brightness and colour of the same surfaces across the pieces in a collection. It took a long time to perfect the framing and camera settings, but today every new collection is produced to the same proven standard.
Drawings With Dimensions and Load Ratings
For every piece and every set we also prepare a drawing: a vector illustration with the dimensions and the maximum load for the shelves, drawers and top. Comad uses them on product pages, where buyers check whether a cabinet will fit their bathroom. We deliver the drawings as SVG and JPG, so shops can use them at any size without losing quality.

AI Room Sets: the Set From the Packshot in a Finished Interior
A white-background packshot shows the furniture but not how it will look at home. That is what room sets are for. We used to make them for Comad the classic way, building the whole bathroom in 3D. Today most are created with AI, which makes a huge difference at this pace of new collections.

We start from the packshot of the set, so the furniture has exact dimensions, finish and details from the outset. Then an advanced AI workflow takes over. ControlNet keeps the shape and proportions of the furniture, and a chain of nodes takes the image step by step to a finished interior. We keep refining the prompts and use several language models, because each one handles something different better. Where AI gets something wrong, such as a mirror reflection or the proportions of a basin, we finish with traditional retouching.
Comad checks room sets as carefully as packshots: the size of the mirror, the spacing of the decor on the top, the light and shadows. The Daisy Villa and Daisy Cashmere collections alone got 37 room sets, and we have made several hundred in total. They also let Comad show its new living room and bedroom furniture in an interior.

Almost Three Years in Numbers
- 42 orders
- around 30 furniture collections
- several thousand packshots of single pieces and sets
- hundreds of dimension drawings
- hundreds of AI room sets
Why We Enjoy Working With Comad
Comad is simply good to work with. Every order is laid out in one spreadsheet: pieces, sets, colours, angles, load ratings and notes for revisions. Decisions are made quickly and feedback is specific, marked on the image to show what to fix and where. The marketing team knows its furniture down to the smallest detail and doesn’t let go until the image looks exactly like the real thing.
A client like that is demanding, but it also teaches you. Much of what we know today about presenting bathroom furniture we owe to this partnership. Thank you for your trust; we look forward to the next collections.
Packshots and Room Sets for Furniture Manufacturers
If you launch new furniture collections and need images for retailers, we can prepare the complete set: packshots, drawings and room sets. See how we approach furniture rendering, AI visualisations and product packshots, or send us the files for your collection.
